We're a bunch of crazy people who live in Singapore and use the Newton

a little more than we should and for more purposes than can be imagined.

We originally started out as a free group and we hope to remain so for as

long as possible. Unfortunately, the cost of snacks consumed during

meetings have started to strain our resources, so we may start some form

of membership soon .

We started meeting in late August this year (1997) and we meet about

once a week. Unofficially, some of our members have been meeting even

more regularly. (A rough estimate puts the number of meetings at 15 in four

weeks. Explains the snacks, eh?) These meetings tend to start early and end

after midnight. As you can imagine, our employers/husbands/wives/lovers

are a tiny bit upset.

We like to believe that our main mission is to educate Singaporeans to the

possibilities of the Newt, but in reality, we just like meeting late and having

lots of snacks!
